GERRIT WILLEM VAN YPEREN (Hillegersberg (then Rotterdam), 14 January 1882 - Barbados (Brittish West-India), 1955) was a Dutch painter. He was a student of the Academy for Visual Arts in Rotterdam under Alexander van Maasdijk. His fellow students were Marius Richters and Henri Boot.
Van Yperen painted, illustrated and etched. He made portraits and closely detailed city and village views, still-life and landscapes. He worked in Amsterdam (1933-1948), South of France (Nice, Marseilles), on Trinidad and Barbados. He was a member of the artists society De Onafhankelijken in Amsterdam and The Rotterdam artist Society. In 1948 Van Yperen left for Paramaribo.
