Biography   Gladys Gray

Gladys Gray was born in Truckee, California, on May 28, 1908. A native Californian, she was raised in a family of artists on a cattle ranch. She spent her summers in the Truckee-Tahoe area. She is married to Stanton Gray, former instructor at California State Polytechnic College. Mrs. Gray studied watercolor with Eliot O’Hara, Harold Forgostein, and Phil Paradise. She took design with Jean Ames and Millard Sheets. Her paintings have been exhibited and sold throughout California. She has had fourteen one-man shows away from her local area. Her awards are many, and she is represented in museums and private collections.” Source- from July 1961 Laguna Beach Art Association cat.
