Gladys Parker, nationally known cartoon artist, dress designer and columnist was a local Tonawanda (N.Y.) girl of great artistic ability. As a young teenager laid up for several months with a leg injury, she spent her time drawing little cartoons and figures, using herself as a model by looking into a mirror.
After leaving Tonawanda High School, Gladys went into business designing and making dresses. Her artistic talent led her into big-time dress designing where she became famous for her creations in the fashion world. In the 1920s she started to draw
