Biography   Glen Hopkinson


Born and raised in Wyoming, he became a painter of historical western scenes, specializing in Indian, cowboy, and military activities. He finds great enjoyment in doing the research and then doing a painting a "life as it was."

He began his art career in Cody in 1971, but he had been influenced by his father, famous western artist Harold Hopkinson, and studied with him as well as several others. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Brigham Young University and did sidewalk portraits to earn money.
