Painter and lithographer, Gordena Jackson was born on Jan. 3, 1900 in Pleasanton, CA. After settling in Berkeley in 1917, she enrolled at the California College of Arts and Crafts. At that school she met her husband-to-be, Osman Jackson.
She had a studio-home in the hills of Berkeley and remained active as an artist until shortly before her death on April 10, 1993. Her watercolors, oils, lithographs, and drawings are signed 'Gordena.'
