Biography Gustave Henry Mosler
Gustave Henry Mosler was born in Munich Germany on June 16, 1875, but was raised and painted in the United States. He was a pupil of his father, Henry Mosler, and of Leon Bonnat.
Mosler exhibited at the Salon in Paris, receiving a medal for his De Profundis in 1891. He did a portrait of Governor J W Stewart, which is now in the state house in Montpelier, Vermont. Gustav painted Empty Cradle,
which is in the Toledo Art Club.
He died in Margaretville New York on August 17 1906.
