The encounter with the work of Lucio Fontana led Hans Bischoffshausen to an artistic turn. He had a lifelong friendship with the great Italian champion; There were several joint exhibitions. Until then, Bischoffshausen's paintings were dark and a material slaughter in asphalt, ashes, varnish, and tin, they were now bright, often white and yet unfathomable. In 1959 he moved to Paris, then the capital of the avant-garde. There he lives in an ugly cold house with his family in extremely poor conditions. But now Bischoffshausen belonged to the worldwide movement of ZERO artists. The border between image and sculpture should be abolished.
