Harriet Holden Nash (1933 - )
Harriet was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and lived with her husband in Park Slope for over 35 years.
She attended the Brooklyn Museum School at age 14 where she established her reputation as an abstract expressionist at the Brooklyn Museum School of Art. She later attended Cooper Union, and was under the tutelage of such esteemed artists as Louis Grebenak as well as Willem De Kooning.
Harriet was known as an abstract expressionist from early on in her career, and exhibited at the young age of 17. She enjoyed painting large canvasses, and her subjects ranged from pure abstractions to those of the human form to trees and flowers, as well as urban landscapes of scenes s
