The following biographical information has been provided by Mary E. G. Robinson, granddaughter-in-law of the artist:
Born in Lewiston, Maine, she married Charles Albert Robinson in 1879, moved to the adjacent town of Auburn, and lived there until his death in 1908. During these years she painted still-lives and landscapes in both oil and watercolor exhibiting them at local art shows. Three of her paintings are dated "1896", "1897"and "1902."
Harriette was a contemporary of D. D. Coombs (1850-1938), "Lewiston's Painter Laureate", and she likely studied under him. During summers they were next door neighbors on Orrs Island, Maine. There is no evidence that she painte
