Biography   Harry Palmer


Born in Plymouth, England in 1854.    Palmer was active in the San Francisco Bay area in 1911-12.  His landscapes of Mount Tamalpais and other Marin County spots were used to illustrate the 1914 book California, the Land of the Sun by Mary Austin. 

Exh:  Royal Society of British Artists, 1892-94; Royal Inst. of Painters in Watercolors, 1920.  In:  Manchester (England) Museum; Sydney Museum.
