Born in Newark, NJ on April 23, 1897. Helene married Victor Eisner in 1919 while in New Jersey. The couple settled in San Francisco in 1922 where she later studied art with Ruth Armer. During the 1930s Helene became active in the local art scene and the wife of M. S. Cowen. For many years she taught sculpture at the Sausalito Women's Club, and continued teaching privately into the 1980s. She died in San Francisco on June 8, 1989. Member: SF Women Artists.
