Hendrick Aerts

 (16th century)
Hendrick Aerts was active/lived in Flemish.

Biography   Hendrick Aerts

Hendrick Aerts, about whose life only little is known, was a collaborator of Hans Vredeman de Vries.  Later on, he accompanied the latter’s son Paul to the court of Emperor Rudolf II in Prague.  Following in the footsteps of his master, Aerts specialized in compositions of fantastic architecture in the manner of Vredeman de Vries.

A signed painting by Hendrick Aerts, dated 1602, is preserved in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
