Henri Kaliski was born on January 10, 1868. Kaliski was an itinerant artist who worked for lithographers in New Orleans in 1885-86. He appears to have been a resident of San Francisco only during 1892. His only two known California paintings are a luminous scene of a woman sketching along the coast and a river scene with a sluice.
He died in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana on June 19, 1940.
