Born in Sweden on Dec. 3, 1900. Hultin came to San Francisco with his parents as a child. He studied there in the children's classes at the Institute of Art during 1912-13. He worked as an artist there until the 1930s. Due to the Depression he then worked for 40 years as a hotel clerk at the Keystone Apartments. He died in San Francisco on Jan. 10, 1979.
