Hermine Herodes was born 1917 in Upstate New York, and graduated of Jefferson High school. Hermine was largely self-taught in the field of art but studied and learned all over the country, from The Albany Institute of History and Art, The Schenectady Museum, to taking other lessons from Rockport Massachusetts to Florida and California. She picked up different skills and techniques from oil- acrylic painting, glass mosaics and she also had a potters wheel and kiln for pots and clay figures. Hermine enjoyed oil and acrylic painting the most.
