Biography Hyppolite Sebron
A graduate of the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Hippolite Victor Valentin Sebron
first exhibited at the Salon in 1825. Shortly after he was taken as a
student by Louis Daguerre, with whom he collaborated in Daguerre's
popular theatre dioramas. He traveled extensively, visiting Italy,
Spain, Portugal, and North Africa.
Following the Revolution of 1848,
Sebron embarked for North America, spending six years traveling through
Canada and the United States, with sojourns in New York and Louisiana.
