Ignatius Affanni studied at the Academy of Parma with Garlazzi masters, and Callegari Scaramuzza: honorary member of the Accademia di Napoli, he participated in several exhibitions preferring the historical and religious themes and allegorical but not disdaining the figure and the landscape.
He received an award in Rome and Parma with 'Raffaello Ferrante picture presented by Pope Julius II'.
