Born on February 17, 1777, he died on July 28, 1847 in Waterford, New York.
Isaac Eddy created the engravings for the first edition of the Vermont
Bible, and became known as the printer-engraver of Vermont, from then
on. Perfect copies of the Bible contain seven engravings by him,
and one by James Hill. His first engravings were on copper.
In 1812 he made an engraving for the "History of Vermont State Prison,"
by John Russell, and in 1814 he bought the printing
shop which was in Dresden, and then moved to Westminster, both in
Vermont at the time. The press was very productive and many
