Jack D. Woods died peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 10, 2011, following a brief illness. Jack was born on March 29, 1930 in Tucumcari, NM, the son of Roy & Althea Woods. As a child in Tucumcari, Jack was a tireless artist, drawing and making carvings in bars of soap. His sights were set on art school, but the Korean War took him on an alternate path.
After serving his country, Jack studied mechanical engineering and entered the air and space industry. In 1951 he married Donna Jo Holly of Bentonville, Arkansas.
