Born on May 11, 1863 in Bavaria, Germany. Ottnat moved to California in 1888. He lived in San Francisco in the 1890s, Oakland in 1903-06, Sacramento in 1908. He died in San Francisco at the Laguna Honda Home on June 20, 1934. His work includes portraits and landscapes in oil and watercolor as well as photography. Exh: Calif.
