Jan Eversen

Jan Hendrik Eversen was active/lived in Netherlands.  Jan Eversen is known for Portrait and still life painting.

Biography   Jan Eversen


Johannes Eversen was born in the Hague.  He studied under William Johan Lampe, going on to study at the Heatherley School of Fine Art.  He originally painted portraits in watercolor while under Johan Lampe, but soon developed his now very recognizable, high quality, detailed style of still life painting in the manner of the 17th Century Dutch Masters.  His first one man show was held in 1938, exhibiting the next year for the first time at the Royal Academy.  He exhibited annually at the Royal Academy from 1955-1970.
