I knew the artist, Javier Cabada, and his wife, Consuelo, who ran the galleries for him. I met them in the late 1960's/early 1970's in Washington, D.C. They had a gallery near Dupont Circle at one time and a gallery near Georgetown at another time. We came to know each other because my sister bought one of his abstract oils and showed it to me. I liked his work very much and soon I visited his gallery to see more work and meet him. It turns out that Javier needed a few Lucite pedestals for his sculptures and I owned a Lucite fabricating business.
