Jere Raymond Wickwire (1883-1974)
The son of Theodore Wickwire, cofounder of the Wickwire Bros. Wire and Steel Company, he became an artist, specializing in portraiture. He also painted still lives and landscapes.
He is known to have lived in Cortland and Albany and had a studio in the Hotel des Artistes a block or two west of Central Park in New York City in the late 1930s-1940s.
