Painter. Born in Illinois in 1824.
Jeremy Wilson came to California with the Gold Rush in 1849 via the Emigrant Trail. By 1853 he had established a studio in Philadelphia where he intermittently exhibited at the PAFA for the following decade.
In 1857 he was in Italy where he was a pupil of Albert Bierstadt. A resident of Philadelphia in 1862, the next year he settled in Harrisburg, PA. His work includes landscapes and portraits.
