Jerome J. Glickman (1890 -1930) "Jerry" was born in what later became Lithuania, son of Jonah Joseph Glickman and Sarah Hannah (nee Koplowitz) Glickman. He came to the U.S with his father around 1901. He was the oldest of five children; the only son (in age order: Jerry, Esther, Bessie, Anabele, and Marcia). Showing an ability as an artist, he attended the Art Students League in New York City, possibly during l9l6-1917, where he became a friend of a fellow student, Ben Shahn.
