Jessie Willard was born in California in August 1876. Jessie studied at the Art Institute of Chicago under Vanderpoel.
While a resident of Oakland in 1900-13, she was a teacher at the California College of Arts & Crafts. About 1918 she married Washington S. Goodrich and appears to have stopped painting.
She died in San Francisco on Dec. 30, 1937.
The two known works by this talented artist include an oil and a watercolor of Chinatown genre.
