Following is the obituary of Jim Ward from the Amarillo Globe News, December 21, 2012.

"James Frank Ward, 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012"

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Jones and the Rev. Steve Olson officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

James Frank Ward was bucked off, unexpectedly, for the final time and landed in heaven Wednesday morning Dec. 19, 2012. Jim was born in Fort Worth on March 18, 1931, and grew up in Austin. He studied at Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State, where he earned a degree in animal husbandry. He was commissioned as 2nd Lt. in the Army.
