Biography Jo Saylors
Born and raised in Tennessee, Jo Saylors first created sculpture made from clay that she dug from a creek bed and set to dry in the sun. Since those early artistic endeavors, Saylors has been fascinated with the human form and the process of taking clay and molding it into something expressive and timeless.
Attending Watkins Institute and studying under sculptor Jo Davidson, Saylors has gone on to have her works exhibited at the National Audubon Society as well as the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian Institute.
