Born in Tromsö, Norway on Jan. 31, 1897. Mathieson was a resident of Seattle until 1924 when she moved to Hollywood. For 40 years, she was employed at Universal Pictures and MGM Studios as a costume designer. The wife of Elmer N. Woolf, she died in Los Angeles on March 1, 1981.
