Biography   John MacQuarrie

Born in San Francisco, CA on June 12, 1871.  MacQuarrie studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute.  He was a lifelong resident of San Francisco with a studio at 1370 Sutter Street.  He died on Nov. 24, 1944.

Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1896. Works: McKinnon Statue (Golden Gate Park); Bear Flag Monument (Sonoma); Donner Lake Monument.

Murals in: Southern Pacific Terminals and Grand Central Station (Houston, TX).
