John A. MacWhirter was active/lived in California / United Kingdom, Scotland.  John MacWhirter is known for landscape, coastal view.

Biography   John MacWhirter


Born in Slateford, Scotland in 1839, MacWhirter came to America in 1877 and spent several years in California.  Internationally known as an etcher, he was a member of London's Royal Academy.  He died in London, England in 1911.
