John Duncan McNee was born in Kansas on Feb. 12, 1913. While living in Long Beach in the 1930s, McNee painted still lifes and landscapes. A veteran of WWII, he later taught at the University of Illinois for many years. He died in San Francisco, CA on Jan. 25, 1986.
