Biography   John Durrie, Jr.


John Durrie was a landscape, still life, and portrait painter. John was the older brother of artist, George Henry Durrie. John was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1818 and remained there until 1879. He studied briefly with Nathaniel Jocelyn in 1839.
