Biography John Head
An artist and teacher, he was Dean of the New England School of Art in Boston for several years. Most of his life he lived in Smithfield, Virginia but grew up in New Hampshire where he developed his loose, impressionistic painting style around his love of animals. For many years he worked as a commercial aritst but became a full time painter in 1973, frequently exhibiting at the Waterfowl Festival shows in Easton, Maryland.
