Biography John Oscar Bunce
A sculptor from Ridgewood, New Jersey, John Bunce designed the memorial statue of Ridgewood American Revolution hero, Abraham Godwin. The work is in Van Neste Square and was commissioned to celebrate in 1931 the centennial of the village.
Buncve was born in New York City, and was a student at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League. By 1934, he was living in Ridgewood.
