Biography   John Sr Coles


John Coles Sr. published John Norman's engravings (1782) after Benjamin Blyth's portraits of George and Martha Washington.

In the Boston directories, Coles appears in 1796 as a heraldy painter. His son, John Coles, Jr. was also a portrait and heraldic painter.
