Jos Trotteyn (b. April 22, 1910, in Blankenberghe, Belgium-d. January 18, 2002)
Known as a surrealist-naturalist painter, his work cannot be classified in one single art movement. Subjects of his work were dreams, fantasy, surrealist landscapes, women, masks. Other people knew Jos as restorer of fine art by several old Flemish painters such as Pourbus, Van Eyck, Nicolaas de Liemaeckere, Justus Daneels and many more recent painters as well.
