Joseph Jenny

Joseph Jenny was active/lived in Massachusetts.  Joseph Jenny is known for landscape-snowscene painting, engraving, calligraphy, art education.

Biography   Joseph Jenny

Born in Dornach, Alsace, France in the late 1800s, he was sponsored by a textile mill in Adams, Massachusetts to come to this country as a photoengraver in early 1900.  He later became a draftsman for the General Electric Company in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. 

Jenny had one man shows at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, taught art at the museum and in Adams Massachusetts and at his home in Pittsfield.  He was also an accomplished calligrapher.  His work appears in many Norman Rockwell covers for the Saturday Evening Post.  Most of his landscapes are of local scenes in Massachusetts.
