A painter and a photographer, Joseph Julius Humme was born in Delmenhorst, Oldenburg (now Germany) and died in Point Ideal, Lake of Bays, Ontario, Canada. He was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists*, he exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts*, and his works are in a few major Canadian museum collections. (3)(4)
