Biography Karl Tait
Born November 2, 1917 in Old Town Maine, Karl Tait served in the US Army Air Corps from 1942-1946. He was a graduate of the New Hampshire School of Arts and Sciences.
His largest work includes a mural displayed at the Greenville/Spartanburg, South Caroliana International Airport. Much of his creative talent went to designing greeting cards published by American Artist's Group and for B. Altman Department Stores, a line of exclusive designer handkerchiefs, which are still widely collected.
Additionally he contracted with Milliken Corporation to design showrooms and product displays. His private work includes many watercolors of botanicals, birds, and wildlife scenes as well as mixed media abstracts.
