Biography Kenneth Greene
Born on January 9, 1902, in Buffalo, New York, Kenneth (Ted) Grene received his early training in that city, later studying at the Heffley Institute in Brooklyn. Prominent in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey art circles, his art training was furthered at the National Academy of Design, in addition to study under Charles Hawthorne, noted American painter, Ivan Olinsky and Hobart Nichols. During the early years of his marriage, while a resident of New Jersey, his reputation as an artist grew with first prize awards in various competitions.
