Biography Kenneth Washburn
A painter, muralist, sculptor and educator, Kenneth Washburn spent the early part of his career, 1928-1950, in New York state where he was professor of fine art at Cornell University in Ithaca. After that, he taught at San Mateo Junior College in San Mateo, California, and lived in San Carlos.
He was born in Franklinville, New York; earned B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees from Cornell University; and also did independent study in Europe. He was a member of the American Watercolor Society and the Springfield Illinois Art Association.
