Biography Kenneth MacIntire
Born in Boston, Kenneth MacIntire studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Architectural Club School of Design. He was in World War I, assigned to a unit which specialized in Dazzle Art, a camouflage system for ships. After the war, he opened a studio in Washington D.C. His work was featured on the cover of House Beautiful magazine.
In the 1930s, he moved to California and painted celebrity portraits as well as several famous horses. In 1961, he and his wife moved to Northern California on the Sonoma Coast.
