Biography Kinjo Yasuko
Well-established Japanese artist Ms Kinjo Yasuko has been productive over the many years as a sculptor in wood, stone, terracotta, bronze, glass, amber, silver and resin.
Born in Tokyo in 1945, she graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (BA, MA and MPhil). She has been an art teacher and she is now lecturer at the NHK (Japanese Broadcasting Corporation) Culture Centre.
Since 1969, her work has been presented at many galleries and exhibition centres in the Tokyo area, including at the prestigious Nikakai (Society of Progressive Japanese Artists) annual exhibitions.
Her sculptures have been acquired across Japan by important institutions, including the Hachijo Town Hall in Tokyo and the Kuji Amber Museum in Iwate,
