Biography Larry Smith
Won an award in the LA Printmaking Society, 6th Annual All-California Print Exhibit, Otis Art Inst., LAT, December 8, 1969, page G 9; “Larry Smith, an instructor of art at San Diego State College, is having a one-man show at the La Jolla Museum of Art, under auspices of the museum’s Art Rental Gallery…Untitled prints in the exhibition are created through a multi-process printing technique, combining silk screen with a photographic reproduction process termed serigraphy. The artist also combines metallic bronzing powders with his printing inks producing colors that seem to glow with a faint luminosity.” LAT, May 24, 1970, page S 55
