Born in Franklin, Georgia, Larry Walker studied at Wayne State University, Detroit, earning a BS in art education in 1958, and an MA in drawing and painting in 1963.
Walker was a professor of drawing and painting in the Department of Art, University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA, from 1964-1983, and then at the School of Art and Design, Georgia State University, Atlanta from 1983-2000.
His paintings have been exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions over a four decade career--most recently in solo exhibitions at Sande Webster Gallery, Philadelphia and the Huntsville Museum, Huntsville, AL.
