Born in Oakland, CA on Oct. 21, 1910. As a small child, Scharman moved down the peninsula to Los Altos. He was educated at Stanford University and CSFA. In 1928 he began a long career with the Schmidt Lithograph Company in San Francisco and continued with that firm until 1964. In his leisure he painted fine art, both traditional and abstract. He lived in Palo Alto, CA until his demise on Dec. 21, 2003. Member: Palo Alto Art Club.
