Letha Lucille Heckman Gaskins died at age 92 in Franklin, Indiana.  Born October 31, 1900, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Died October 30, 1993, Franklin, Indiana.

This information is taken from an undated newspaper clipping of her obituary. Gaskins had exhibited her paintings in the permanent galleries of the Hoosier Salon, Indianapolis; the Neville Museum,Green Bay, Wisconsin; and in a gallery in Leland, Michigan.  She also participated in many competitive art shows in Indianapolis, Florida, Ohio, and Chicago, winning numerous prizes.

Mrs. Gaskins had been an art teacher for three years in Indianapolis Public Schools.
