A lifelong Utah resident, Liz Lemon Swindle studied fine arts at Utah State University, and then worked for several years as set designer and painter for Osmond Studios.
She married Jon Swindle, and to allow her flexibility with her growing family, she began concentrating on her oil painting. She studied with wildlife artist Nancy Glazier in the early 1980s, and soon exhibited her own wildlife paintings at galleries in the central and western United States.
