Louis diValentin — painter, sculptor, and illustrator — was born in Arba, province of Udine, about 60 km from Venice on November 21,1907 and by 1946 he is recorded as living and working from his studio at 121 Inwood Road, Scarsdale, NY.
His art education includes study in Italy, the Art Students League in New York City, the California School of Fine Arts, and the Corcoran School of Art.
His exhibitions include the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC in 1945; the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburg, PA from 1942 to 1945; the National Academy of Design, New York City in 1947 and was awarded a prize; the Toledo Museum of Art from 1943
